This is a daily newspaper, which can be found in most law offices or in any NYC
Public Library! Occasionally, Foreclosure auction ads can be found in The New
York Times and The Wall Street Journal. It is interesting to note that the New
York Times & TWSJ ads almost never make it to our paid competitors' auction
lists. It has been noted by the industry insiders that the operators of paid
auction listings are lazy or stupid or both! Reselling government-mandated free
foreclosure sale postings for $99 or $499 is no different from requesting $499
payment for the Xerox copies of the phone book!
For the property description by address or Block & Lot one should consult
NYC Free Web site: NYC Real
Estate Properties. There you can find a fairly complete
descriptions, including size of the land, number of stories, Total
Square Footage, Previous Sale Price, etc. It’s interesting to note, that a
number of for-profit real estate listings providers begged us not to provide
this information! Some of them even offered to pay us to keep it off these
pages! That should tell you something about these folks' ethics!
We'd like to encourage all our readers to follow our advice and not to purchase
any services from paid foreclosure list providers. Most of them operate on the
fringes of legality. They needlessly complicate the search process for the
prospective buyers and in the process enrich themselves! Good luck to all
